Evanston Pubs Prepare for Wildcat Fans, Bowl Games

Many Evanston hangouts will host parties for fans of all area teams.

The Northwestern Wildcats are going to try and put an end to their nine-game bowl losing streak on Tuesday when they take on Mississippi State in the Gator Bowl at Jacksonville, FL.

11 a.m. may seem early for those folks who were out enjoying New Year’s Eve revelries, but area locations will be ready to host football fans, starting with Wildcat faithful. With four other Big Ten teams playing on New Year’s Day, plus Northern Illinois in the Orange Bowl, Tuesday figures to be a big day for some local dining establishments.

Many Evanston standbys will be running specials with the obligatory big screen TVs playing and showing the action.
