Meet Adelle The Cat: From Adorable To Zaftig

Each week, we feature pets available for adoption from C.A.R.E. at Evanston's Animal Shelter.

Adelle is a curvy girl who has a generally happy and calm attitude toward life. A calico with a most unusual mustache, Adelle loves investigating new places and being held.

Since she tends toward the "Zaftig" side of the weight scale (she weighs about 15 lbs.), Adelle needs someone who can help her exercise more and eat a little more sensibly.

Still, Adelle enjoys playing with wand toys when they're close enough for her to  swat without moving too much. Adelle is definitely a cat who believes in putting out the minimum effort for exercise.

Adelle's Stats:

  • Domestic Shorthair, 5 years old, Tortoiseshell/Calico mix, Spayed female
  • ASPCA Feline-ality™ Assessment rating:  Purple / Secret Admirer
  • We aren't sure how Adelle feels about other cats or dogs.
  • Adelle needs an owner who will help her lose a little weight through interactive playtime and monitored feeding.
  • Adelle is microchipped, spayed, and has had a full veterinary checkup and vaccines.

She is truly a delightful cat who dutifully takes her exercise around the Shelter. Come see her! Patsy, a volunteer

Thanks for your additional endorsement, Patsy. She sounds like a great pet. I hope someone comes in soon to give her a good home.
