Meet Maisha the Cat: Magical, Majestic

C.A.R.E. cat Maisha is a girl with a strong sense of self. This sleek, young black cat with a silky coat and questing golden eyes seeks a home with someone who will appreciate her curiousity and intelligence.

C.A.R.E. volunteers have found that Maisha likes "to talk a lot and tell you exactly what she's thinking." If there's a ledge or a high perch, that's where you'll find Maisha--keeping a close eye on proceedings below. She's also a bit of a magpie--volunteers have noticed that she likes to gather up her little treasures (mousies, sparkleballs, a favorite blanket).  

Maisha arrived at C.A.R.E. when she failed to get along with the other cats in her previous home. Maisha's dream home would have her as the Only Cat. She has had experience with dogs, however. 

Maisha's Stats:

• Domestic Shorthair, 3 - 4 years old, Black, Spayed female
• ASPCA Feline-ality™ Assessment rating:  Orange / Sidekick
• Maisha does not get along with other cats. She has, however, lived peacefully with a dog.
• Maisha would do best in a cat-experienced home with children 13 years and older.
• Maisha is microchipped, spayed and has had a full veterinary checkup and vaccines.

Please come to C.A.R.E., 2310 Oakton St., Evanston, to meet Maisha and speak to an adoption counselor. Adoption hours are Monday through Thursday, 6-8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, noon-3:30 p.m.
