Sushi the Cat Found in Des Plaines

The cat had been missing since mid August.

Sushi the cat is back home safe and sound after a family reported her missing in early August.

Evanston Patch first reported that Sushi the cat went missing last month. Sushi is a neighborhood staple who is often seen wandering around the lakefront, and a beloved pet for the Evanston man Mark Lazar and his family.

Lazar told Patch in August that Sushi had gone missing before, and is often mistaken by well-meaning cat lovers as a stray. He said Sushi's friendly, approachable personality often makes her seem like a lovable stray in need of being rescued.

Sushi was found in Des Plaines, according to TribLocal.
