Tamales, Pancakes and More at Evanston's Food Truck Fest and Starlight Concert

Take a look at the food trucks' best offerings for Thursday's Food Truck Fest.

Scroll through the food trucks’ delicious offerings and save some room for the vendors’ creations this Thursday night. The third year of Evanston’s Food Truck Fest will be in full swing and bigger than ever.

“It has built from year one to year two, and I expect it to be bigger and better than ever this year,” said organizer Jeff Cory.

The food trucks will start serving at 5:30 p.m. in Brummel Park at Brummel Street and Elmwood Avenue, followed by live music from The Congregation at 7:30 p.m.

This year’s vendors include Evanston’s own Hummingbird Kitchen, along with The Tamale Spaceship, Sweet Ride, Taquero Fusion, 5411 Empanadas, Babycakes Pancakes and Curried.

“I expect it to be a really terrific event. The weather’s supposed to be perfect. We will have a record number of food trucks in attendance,” Cory said.
