What’s the best advice your father ever gave you? That was the question we asked and we received some great responses via social media.

Here are some of our favorites:

For Chris Hiland, the best advice from his dad was “Choose your battles.”

"If you get a moving violation, I'll take your license." Mark Tisdahl writes that his father’s advice made him a much safer driver at 16 and beyond.

Tisdahl writes that he did get a moving violation when he was 19 or 20 but by then his father said he was a safe enough driver. “I have no doubt without that threat I would have gotten one sooner.
