Fourth of July Parade
July 4, 2 p.m., Central Street at Central Park Avenue to Ryan Field at Ashland Avenue
The Evanston Fourth of July Association and the Evanston Chamber of Commerce are partnering for a special Fourth of July celebration this year, as it will also celebrate Evanston’s 150th anniversary. Evanston will be holding the North Shore’s oldest juried fine arts festival, Fountain Square Art Festival, in its 34th year. Over 200 artists, kids activities and live music will be featured.
July Weekend Family Films at the Library - The Incredibles
July 6-7, 2 p.m. Evanston Public Library - Children's Room; 1703 Orrington Ave.
All children are invited to watch Disney and Pixar’s The Incredibles Saturday and Sunday afternoons this weekend.
5th Annual McGaw YMCA Youth Triathlon
June 7, 8 a.m., Evanston Township High School
Kids ages 7 to 14 are invited to register for Sunday’s triathlon. All participants are required to attend the Pre-Race Expo on Saturday at the McGaw YMCA from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The winning participants will receive awards, but all participants will receive a medal and goody bag.

Downtown Evanston Farmers' Market
July 6, 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Every Saturday through Nov. 2, University Place and Oak Ave.
Shop for fresh items, such as fruit, vegetables, meat, cheese, eggs, baked goods and flowers, at Evanston's Farmers' Market. As many as 51 vendors will be selling their products.
July 6, 1 p.m.- 4 p.m., Sheridan Rd at Clinton Place
To celebrate the five-year anniversary of Noah’s Playground, there will be a party featuring family fun, like face painting, and custard treats donated by Andy’s Custard.
FJT presents "Woza Albert!"
July 6, 7 p.m., July 7, 3 p.m., Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes St., Special Holiday price: $6 per ticket
Woza Albert! is a show of vignettes of black life during South Africa’s apartheid.
The box office at Noyes Center is open Mon.-Fri., 10am-4:30pm in person or call 847/448-8260.
