Where In the Patch?

Week two of our photo quiz that tests your Evanston knowledge

How well do you know Evanston?

Where in Evanston do painted geese statues crow toward the sky?

That riddle is the latest question in our weekly "Where in the Patch?" series, which will test Evanston residents' knowledge of their hometown by challenging them to identify photos of  familiar, public spots taken from obscuring angles.

Put your best guesses in the comments section and we'll let you know who the big winner is, with the grand prize being bragging rights until the next week's contest.

We started off easy  in the series. Both Joe Leith Moag and Kevin Jones correctly guessed via Facebook that the photo was of the arch leading into the  campus.

If you have an idea for a place for us to feature — or want to send in a photo of your own — please email emily.stone@patch.com.

It's the Centennial Fountain in the Merrick Rose Garden at the corner of Lake and Oak. A very nice place to visit.

Correct! Nice job in recognizing the small sculptures on a small fountain in one of Evanston beautiful, yet small parks. And yes, it is a very nice place to visit, even in the cold. Congratulations John, you are this week's winner and hold bragging rights until next time.
