Book Worm Angels honors Children’s Poet Jack Prelutsky Sunday June 26Plan a fun Sunday afternoon to hear the poet recite his silly poems
Meet Jack Prelutsky during a reception honoring him with the 2011 Kermit Myers Award and hosted by Book Worm Angels at the Evanston Historical Society, 225 Greenwood Street in Evanston, on Sunday, June 26, from 3:00 until 5:00 pm. Prelutsky, named the first children’s Poet Laureate by the Poetry Foundation, will recite his poetry. His award-winning books include The New Kid On The Block, The Dragons Are Singing Tonight, The Frogs Wore Red Suspenders and If Not For The Cat. And all children who attend are invited to select one of his books to take home.
