Dramatic Reading Series

2011 theme: Family

Readings will take place August 6-21, 2011 on Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 3pm. The location is the Theatre at Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes St., Evanston. Admission is $5.00 in advance or at the door.

Bond Clunie is an award-winning playwright, founder of Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre and playwright in residence at Victory Gardens Theatre. She is an Evanston resident.

Last year’s Dramatic Reading Series celebrating “Women Of Color” was a terrific success and was all the buzz around town. Audience members were treated to brilliant performances and three dynamic plays: For Colored Girls. . ., From The Mississippi Delta, and Having Our Say. On stage were some of Evanston’s and Chicago’s most talented actors, including Jacqueline Williams, Cheryl Lynn Bruce, Alan Arenas, Joi-Anissa Russell, Erika Ratcliff and Millie Langford.
