ETHS musicians ring in the holidays

Over 300 student musicians will help ring in the holidays when Evanston Township High School presents its Holiday Music Festival at 3pm on Sunday, December 18, in the ETHS auditorium.

Two orchestras (String Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra), three bands (Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and Wind Ensemble), and six vocal groups (Concert Choir, Chorale, Chamber Singers, Master Singers, Bazao A Cappella, and Dazzling Dames), and the Handbell Choir will perform. Ralph Vaughan Williams’s “Fantasia on Greensleeves,” the Ukranian “Carol of the Bells,” “Tribute to World Peace Medley,” “Jazzy Jingle Bells,” and many more contemporary and classical pieces will showcase student talent and put everyone in a holiday mood.

Tickets, available at the door, are $3 for adults, no charge for students and senior citizens. Evanston Township High School is located at 1600 Dodge Ave., and the auditorium is handicapped accessible. Parking is best in the lot directly across from the auditorium entrance on Dodge Ave.
