Framing Basics with Alley Gallery

We all tend to procrastinate framing: it's expensive, it's complicated and it needs to be right. The Alley Gallery team (located literally down the alley between Benson and Sherman) will be at Gallery, Now! this Friday, 6/22 from 6-8 to talk about the basics of framing, using examples in the gallery for different ways that frames both protect and enhance artwork for a polished, gallery-worthy presentation.

The Alley Gallery is one of the most charming spots in Evanston and you can park in the courtyard outside their door, btw. Co-owners Brent Houston, Darren Oberto and Ross Martens are all expert framers as well as practicing artists, making them ideally suited to finding innovative framing solutions that best connect with each piece of art.
