Harmonizers sing for senior citizens

The North Shore Harmonizers, an independent women's a cappella chorus in the barbershop tradition, will perform at two local senior citizen retirement homes in June—on Sunday, June 5, at 2pm at Three Crowns Park in Evanston (2323 McDaniel Ave.) and on Thursday, June 23, at 7pm at Lincolnwood Place in Lincolnwood (4000 N. McCormick Blvd.).

This lively concert will feature a mixture of songs, many from Broadway, such as "Consider Yourself” from Oliver, and familiar favorites including “Takin’ a Chance on Love” and "Moonglow."

Founded in 1952, the Harmonizers perform at their own public concerts, at special and holiday programs for senior citizens and other Chicago-area groups throughout the year, and at farmers' markets during the summer.
