Holiday Bazaar features Home Grown Artists December 2

Homegrown Artists began in 2005 as a showcase for Evanston artists and their work at the busy and thriving downtown Farmers' Market. In order to avoid competition with the existing art fairs, participation is limited to Evanston residents, employees of Evanston businesses and participants at Evanston studios and galleries. The artists sell their own work.

The Downtown Farmers' Market runs Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Homegrown Artists displayed and sold their artwork on six consecutive Saturdays in 2011, from July 9 through August 13.

Shop for beautiful and unique items to give as gifts or keep for yourself from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2 at the Evanston Home Grown Artists Holiday Bazaar! Local artists will offer great gift ideas for that special person during this busy, yet wonderful time of year.

There will be jewelry, ceramics, paintings, knitwear and more. The bazaar, which takes place at the Ecology Center, 2024 McCormick Blvd., is a great way to shop for the holidays while supporting local artists. Admission is free. For more information, call 847-448-8138.
