Tassels and Twirling - A Burlesque Craft and Dance Workshop with "Chicago's Own Community Chest"Cruel Valentine

  This fun workshop will excercise your crafting skills and your body! We will be making glamorous tasseled pasties for you to keep, and then learning how to incorporate tassel twirling into a fun and sensual burlesque combination. You'll learn some basic burlesque moves and get tips and hints for applying pasties, as well as learning some tassel tricks that will shock and amaze! This fun workout can easily be taken home and turned into a performance for someone special!  

What to bring:

• A pair of heels you can move comfortably and confidently in (ballet shoes, jazz shoes or stocking feet are also acceptable.)

• Close-fitting dance clothes (i.e. a leotard and tights, jazz pants and a fitted top, etc.) that you can move in with ease.

• A loose or oversized dress or long shirt that pulls off easily over the head.

• A back-closure bra with straps.

• A pair of gloves, any type.

• Please note that hair should be secured away from the face and neck and no dangling jewelry will be permitted in class.

• A glue gun if you've got it - a few will be available to share, but if you can bring your own gun and glue sticks, all the better.
