MooNiE the MagnifiCent: FOOLISH MORTAL!

Evanston – Evanston Arts Depot proudly presents MooNiE the MagnifiCent : FOOLISH MORTAL! starring Chicago actor Philip Earl Johnson, for three shows in January, at The Evanston Arts Depot, home of Piccolo Theatre.

MooNiE the MagnifiCent is a silent clown in the European tradition and has been delighting audiences of all ages for the last 20 years. The audience is drawn into the performance both literally and figuratively as he uses skills honed through the practice of over 4500 performances. Though his bits involve juggling, music, and the masterful manipulation of various everyday objects, the emphasis is always on the comedy and the clown's relationship with his audience.  That relationship could even include a moment onstage for an audience member. The result is a show that can go as planned but rarely does!

MooNiE the MagnifiCent is a long time fan favorite at The Bristol Renaissance Faire and this is a rare opportunity to see him perform in the intimate theatrical setting at The Evanston Arts Depot.  Bring the whole family and prepare yourself for an evening of hands on hilarity as they enter the world of MooNiE. And remember, if it isn't funny, it's none of his business!
