Multigenerational Earth Day Celebration

From an organic potluck dinner to the creation of “earth art” to Dances of Universal Peace, and much more, the Unitarian Church of Evanston is the place to bring the whole family for an Earth Day Celebration.  Proceeds will help purchase a hoop house for the Edible Acre Pilot Project at Evanston Township High School.

Products from Evanston’s fair trade store Ten Thousand Villages will be available for purchase, as will seedlings – just in time for planting – and items from local artists who use recycled materials.  Art for purchase will include “hard wear” jewelry by Tracy Dobson, who reclaims materials from Creative Use Warehouse; Lisa Nordstrom’s “gatherings” from recycled, reworked and renewed materials, and green gifts and accessories made from reclaimed, natural luxury fibers, by Christina Coss.
