Quality Design 3: Realistic Sustainable Design for Evanston

Join us on at 6:00 pm on Thursday, October 20 at the North Shore Hotel for the latest in Design Evanston’s program series.

Quality Design 3 focuses on how best to implement sustainable practices in Evanston. QD3 will approach this issue from the standpoint of economics, city planning, individual buildings (both public and private) and improvement of community life.

Participants include City Planner Janet L. Attarian, AIA, LEED AP, Project Director, City of Chicago’s Department of Transportation Streetscape and Sustainable Design Program; Developer Michael Tobin, AIA, LEED GA, Vice President,U.S. Equities Realty; and Architect Richard Wilson, Associate AIA, AICP, Director of the City Design Practice of Skidmore,and Owings and Merrill.

The evening will be moderated by Len Koroski, AIA, LEED AP, Associate Principal at Goettsch Partners.

A certificate of completion will be provided to AIA members for 2.0 hrs LU/HSW/SD CE credit as a Self-reported Structured Activity. Credits are contingent on AIA acceptance of the activity.

A wine & cheese reception, sponsored by Downtown Evanston, will follow at 8pm.
