The Howard Street Farm is a venture of The Talking Farm. Under a use agreement signed June 2011 with the Skokie Park District, The Talking Farm is developing this two-acre site near the Skokie-Evanston border as an educational urban farm. The Howard Street Farm will grow produce using sustainable methods; offer classes in growing, preserving, and enjoying local foods; and conduct research relevant to urban agriculture.

About The Talking Farm

The mission of The Talking Farm is to cultivate healthy, sustainable communities by supporting the production and appreciation of locally grown food. The Talking Farm grew out of the Evanston Food Policy Council’s mission to ensure everyone's access to a safe and diverse regional food supply and to foster awareness of healthy food choices.
