YAMO tackles presidential politics…and everything else

YAMO, Evanston Township High School’s annual student revue, opens Friday, October 12, for a seven-night run in the school’s Upstairs Theater. Now in its 55th year, this student-run production involves well over 125 students as writers, directors, actors, singers, musicians, and stage crew and always draws sell-out audiences.

This year’s laugh-fest, subtitled “Occupy LOL Street,” lampoons such weighty topics as the presidential election, Occupy Wall Street, Tyler Perry’s “Medea” films, the “Teen Mom” TV show, and “The Avengers” trying to make a living in today’s economy, among other targets for humor.

Show dates are October 12, 13, 19, 20, 25, 26, and 27; all performances begin at 7:30pm. Tickets at $10 are available through the ETHS Fine Arts Box Office number (847-424-7848), or at the door. Call in advance to check ticket availability. This show sells out fast!
