YAMO tackles technology…and everything else

YAMO, Evanston Township High School’s annual student revue, opens Friday, October 14, for a seven-night run in the school’s Upstairs Theater. Now in its 54th year, this student-run production involves well over 125 students as writers, directors, actors, singers, musicians, and stage crew and always draws sell-out audiences.

This year’s fun-fest, subtitled “iYAMO:There’s a Laugh For That,” lampoons such weighty topics as technology and its alternately fantastic and destructive impact on society, teachers on Twitter, embarrassing parents, images in the media, and a medical soap opera, among other targets for humor.

Show dates are October 14, 15, 21, 22, 27, 28, and 29; all performances begin at 7:30pm. Tickets at $10 are available through the ETHS Fine Arts Box Office number (847-424-7848), or at the door. Call in advance to check ticket availability.
