Join Patch at the Custer Street Fair Sunday

Evanston Patch will be among the booths at Custer's Last Stand this weekend, a street fair set up around Custer Avenue.

Nothing says summer in the city like a street fair, and Custer's Last Stand is an Evanston tradition.

The 41-year-old event takes over parts of Custer Avenue, Main Street, Washington Street and Chicago Avenue for two days of arts, entertainment and activities for kids. Some 250 arts and crafts exhibitors from around the country will be in attendance this weekend, as well as 150 local businesses, including Evanston Patch.

Local restaurants will offer up plenty of street fare, while Goose Island beer will be on tap. At night, two stages come alive with music performed by local bands Corky Siegel, Funkadesi Chicago Catz and the Rockin' Johnny Blues Band, among others.
