Piven Theatre's Proposed Expansion Hopes to Make Noyes Center More Dynamic

Piven hopes to get a 25-year lease and expand its current space at Evanston's Noyes Cultural Arts Center.

 

Evanston’s Piven Theatre is hoping to expand its current space at Noyes Cultural Arts Center, a move that its executive director says will make the center more dynamic, Evanston Now reported. 

Piven Theatre's Executive Director Leslie Brown recently submitted the final draft of Piven Theatre’s proposal to the city—the proposal seeks a 25-year lease with an option to renew for another 25 years, the theatre would commit to raising more than $1 million and would take out a maximum $2.2 million loan from the City of Evanston to pay for renovations, Evanston Now reported.
