District 65 Begins Search for New Superintendent

Members of the District 65 school board will meet with four different search firms as they begin the process of replacing former superintendent Hardy Murphy.

Two months after Hardy Murphy abruptly resigned as District 65 superintendent, the school board is beginning the process of finding a replacement.

Board members will hold a special meeting Monday to hear proposals from four search firms who responded to the district’s request for proposals.

Murphy resigned in August after 13 years as superintendent of schools, announcing that he was going to pursue consulting opportunities instead.
