Best Life Organizing

Hello and Happy 2014!

I hope you are all staying warm and getting things done inside.  If you need a little motivation to get started please let me know.  It is overwhelming to organize everything at once, so focus on a room or even one drawer.

Here are my tips:

  1. Start with something not too difficult, like a kitchen or desk drawer.  Take all items out. Throw out what is broken, ripped or unusable.  Put back items that belong there. Donate what you no longer need or have duplicates of.

  2. Are your Holiday decorations still out? Gather them all to one area.  Before you put them away take an inventory of the items and only keep what you will use in the future years.  If you don’t love it, donate it. Feel confident that what you pack away will be used and loved next year.

  • Check to see what new files you might have to create for 2014 in your filing cabinet.  It might only be a few files. Some examples are Taxes and Health Insurance.

  •

Remember that organization is a process that takes time to develop and can take many steps. Try not to get frustrated and realize each little area you organize is one step closer to a clean and clutter free home.
