30 Businesses Opened, 11 Closed Last Year in Downtown Evanston

Nearly three times more new businesses have opened than closed downtown over the last year, according to a report from the Downtown Evanston business group. 

Some 30 new businesses opened, while one business moved and 11 businesses closed, according to the report, which will be presented to the city’s economic development committee this week.
