Evanston Patch readers voted , 1427 Chicago Ave., as the best preschool in Evanston in of our Reader’s Choice series.
Rankings were determined based on a combination of total votes and reviews in our business directory, and though had the highest percentage of the votes (31 percent), School for Little Children won the Reader’s Choice with both strong poll numbers (27 percent) and several glowing reviews.
St. Joan of Arc Church did secure a second place finish, however, and took third place.
All three preschools received public acclaim.
Reader Susie Pratt gave School for Little Children :
“Kids are nurtured and supported by a tremendous teaching staff that knows and loves each kid individually. And the diverse, inclusive classrooms have been a fantastic environment. You can't do better.”
User "Evanston Community Member" praised the preschool for being inclusive and adapting to individual children’s needs:
“The school has been able to adapt and integrate his needs to help him go through the daily activities & expectations despite socialization and sensory challenges.”
St. Joan of Arc Church :

And Puerta Abierta Preschool for its flexible daily activities schedule:
