Bennison's Gets In On Cronut Craze

Have you heard of a cronut? As the name implies, it's half-donut, half-croissant--and it's the trendiest pastry to date.

Bakeries around the country have whipped up their own versions of cronuts since the baked good was debuted by Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York this May. And Bennison's is right on trend.

You can pick up a glazed croissant, as it's called at Bennison's, for just over a dollar. It's a deep-fried croissant with a thin coating of sweet glaze. Take a bite, and the pillowy, buttery dough inside melds with the sugary crust to melt in your mouth.

Glazed croissants sell out fast, so if you want to make sure you'll get one, call ahead to place an order.
