Dempster and Dodge Starbucks to Be Considered Tuesday

The Zoning Board of Appeals will discuss the proposed coffee shop in the former KFC space.

The Starbucks proposed for the former KFC at Dempster and Dodge will be discussed Tuesday night at the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting.

The proposed Starbucks at 1901 Dempster is seeking a drive-thru as well.

“Not only will this addition provide residents, students and visitors with another option for coffee and snacks, it's a statement that Dempster/Dodge development is moving in a positive direction. While there is more work to be done, the addition of Starbucks will provide momentum to our continued efforts to bring high quality retail and services to the area,” 2nd Ward Ald. Peter Braithwaite said in an email to constituents last month when the proposal was announced.
