Quince will welcome Katherine Anne Confections, a local and organic-focused chocolatier, for a truffle confection class. The Evanston restaurant will hold the interactive event on Sunday, June 24 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The afternoon will begin with a welcome reception featuring passed appetizers and sparkling wine. Then, curious confectioners will learn how to create truffles, including salted caramel, raspberry elderflower, carrot cake and lady grey. Quince's wine director, Scott Quint, will discuss the world of wine and what flavor profiles pair with chocolates, while participating guests enjoy small bites, truffles and Rancho Galante Cabernet. The cost is $50 per person (inclusive of tax and gratuity). Please call Quince to reserve a place at this event.

Katherine Anne Confections is a local, organic-focused chocolatier. They use local cream and organic sugar, and have banned corn syrup from their kitchen. Their artisan confections are made completely from scratch, with a focus on local, organic and fair-trade ingredients. They grow their own herbs and buy fruits from local farmers. www.katherine-anne.com
