Evanston Chamber Elects New President

Sean O'Grady will assume the position.

The recently announced it had elected Sean O’Grady, senior vice president at , as its new president.

The chamber, which was founded in 1907, has over 1907 and claims to be “the only non-profit business organization in the region solely supported by private industry.”

A chamber of commerce press release, portions of which are printed below, elaborated on O’Grady’s personal life and accomplishments:

Mr. O’Grady began his NorthShore career with NorthShore University Health System Medical Group in 2007 as Vice President, Specialty Practices. He has been Senior Vice President at Evanston Hospital since October, 2008. Prior to joining NorthShore, Mr. O’Grady worked at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago as Vice President, Operations and at Barnes-Jewish Hospital on the Washing University Medical Center campus in St. Louis. Mr. O’Grady earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois and his Master of Arts in Hospital and Health Administration from The University of Iowa.

Mr. O’Grady is Vice President of the District 29 Sunset Ridge Board of Education.  Mr. O’Grady is an avid marathon runner and teaches Spinning classes in Winnetka.  He and his wife, Buggie, have four children and reside in Northfield, Illinois.
