Patch: Community Field Sales Representative
Patch wants to hire a "rock star" advertising manager with local online advertising sales experience in the Chicago area.

Patch provides news and information for dozens of suburban communities, as well as six neighborhood sites in the city of Chicago.

The Community Field Sales Representative will work primarily within a group of clustered Patch sites. The position available will manage sales for select sites including Des Plaines, Evanston, Niles-Morton Grove, Park Ridge, Wilmette-Kenilworth and Winnetka-Glencoe.

It is essential that applicants know the communities and surrounding areas well, and is familiar with the digital and social media world.

Also key is someone who loves to see small businesses succeed.

City of Evanston: Community Maintenance Team Leader (Seasonal)

“Under the direction of the Superintendent of Streets and Sanitation and Youth/Young Adult Program Manager, the Team Leader will be responsible for participating in youth development classroom activities and training that instill and foster personal growth and job skills readiness.  Work crews will be comprised of Evanston youth between the ages of 14-18. The Team Leader will be responsible for the coordination, oversight, and supervision of a 1-7 member youth work crew charged with: outside landscape maintenance; cleaning of right-of ways, traffic calming circles and alleys; the painting of traffic signals, fire hydrants and light poles and any other approved job assignments; the daily loading and transporting of Team Leader tools and equipment; the maintenance and care of all tools; the collection and inventory of all tools at the end of the workday; and additional assignments as required.”

Salary: $12/hour.

City of Evanston: Crossing Guard

“Performs vehicular and pedestrian traffic control and monitoring duties, generally at one location, during the school year and possibly during the summer, particularly for the purpose of protecting school children crossing heavily traveled streets. This is a seasonal position during the school year.  Employees are typically scheduled to work four hours per day.”

Salary: $8.50/hour.

City of Evanston: Seasonal Laborer, Parking Services

“Assist departmental field employees with duties and responsibilities associated with daily job assignments including; park maintenance, facility maintenance, and refuse elimination. Provide assistance and resources to employees, managers, and the general public regarding programs within the City of Evanston. Northwestern University: Temporary Data Assistant

The Temporary Data Assistant 2 supports faculty and administrators across the university in developing new training, grant proposals, and renewal applications for the NIH, NSF, Dept of Education, and participates in other TGSO initiatives. Under the general guidance from the Training Grant Support Office (TGSO) Director, this position has primary responsibility for data acquisition, maintenances, data issue identification resolution, and production of data tables for grant proposals, the accuracy and completeness of which are critical for the success of grant proposals. The Temporary Data Assistant 2 provides direct guidance to proposal teams and participating faculty and administrators regarding proposal data needs, helps training grant proposal and administration aids, updates the TGSO website, coordinates special TGSO events, develops new internal tools, and participates in TGSO support of active training grants and special projects as needed.
