Evanston Pizzerias Snubbed On Chicagoist's '20 Best' List

A thin crust in Northbrook and a pan pizza in Morton Grove are among Chicago's best pies. No Evanston pizzerias made the cut, however.

Chicagoist
just published a list of "The 20 Best Pizzas in the Chicago Area," and Barnaby's of Northbrook, along with Burt's Place in Morton Grove were the only North Shore spots to make the cut.

"With a crunchy, scalloped dough edge and a cornmeal dusted, cracker thin bottom Barnaby's is the pinnacle of thin crust pizza crust," Benjy Lipsman wrote about Barnaby's on Chicagoist

"The first thing to know is that you can’t just show up — Burt’s require reservations at least 24 hours in advance and you must be prepared to place your entire order when you make the reservation," Lizz Kannenberg wrote for Chicagoist. "Burt and his wife, Sharon, source all of their ingredients locally and don’t buy your pizza’s toppings until the day you’re coming in to eat it."

Are there any Evanston spots that belong on the list? Tell us in the comments.
