Evanston’s Found Adds Outdoor Dining

The American bistro opened its street side café this weekend.

Now that the weather’s finally warmed up it’s time to eat out and sit outside!

Evanston’s Found, an American bistro, opened its street side café for the first time this weekend. The new alfresco dining section is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m.

Found, which features items such as fried oyster tacos with bacon and tomatillos, was recently listed among Chicago Magazine’s 2013 Best New Restaurants.

Amy Morton, a longtime Chicago restaurateur and Evanston resident who opened the restaurant at 1631 Chicago Ave., says her vision for the space was “Gertrude Stein salon of 1920s Paris meets Jack Kerouac in my living room.”

Chef Nicole Pederson, who has worked at Logan Square’s Lula Café and most recently at C-House in downtown Chicago, sources ingredients from local purveyors, like Nichols Farm, and relies heavily on fresh vegetables and grains in her dishes.
