7-Eleven Offers Free Slurpees Today

It's 7-Eleven's 85th birthday and the convenience store is celebrating by giving away free 7.11-oz Slurpees from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 11.

Like Slurpees? You're in luck. 7-Eleven stores across the U.S. will be giving away the frozen treats Wednesday, July 11, to celebrate 7-Eleven's 85th birthday.

The icy refreshments will be free from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. at 7-Eleven stores across the country, including the chain's four locations in Evanston.

To join in the festivities, you can download birthday apparel including miniature bowties, hair bows and party hats at Slurpee.com.

7-Eleven has been giving away Slurpees since 2002, and plans to give away up to 7 million this year in honor of the 85th birthday celebration.

Evanston's 7-Eleven locations include 817 Emerson St., 817 Davis St., and 847 N. Dodge Ave. For more information, visit the official Slurpee website

The promotion is a free 7.11oz Slurpee, not an 11oz as indicated above. And they are only available as long as the limited supply of small promotional cups are available. That said, it's still a sweet deal!

Suzanne, thanks for pointing out the typo! We've updated the information in the article. Good to know that the promotional cups might run out, too.
