Green Bay Whole Foods to Open Next Year

The demolition of the interior of the former Dominick's is set to start in May.

The new Green Bay Road Whole Foods store is hoping to open in mid-2015 after a full interior demolition and redesign of the former Dominick’s space, according to an update from 7th Ward Alderman Jane Grover.

The store, at 2748 Green Bay Road, is one of a handful of former Dominick’s that Whole Foods is taking over in the Chicago area.

Grover says the store plans to include many sustainable design components, as well as a wine and cheese bar.
