'It's Thursday, Let's Dance!' Kicks Off Next Week

The free summer dancing program begins Thursday, June 21, at 909 Davis St. Plaza, at the Davis Street Metra stop.

Kick up your two left feet or show off your moves this summer in downtown Evanston, as part of a free summer dance lesson series called "It's Thursday, Let's Dance!"

Every Thursday from June 27 through July 26, the merchant's association hosts a free lesson in a different genre from 6 to 6:45 p.m., followed by live music and dancing from 7 to 9 p.m. The events take place 909 Davis Street Plaza, at the intersection of Maple and Church streets, near the Davis Street Metra stop.

“We are excited about this summer’s Dance series and have a great musical lineup,” Downtown Evanston executive director Carolyn Dellutri said in a press release. “This is a fun way to spend a Thursday evening after dining in one of our many excellent restaurants, or shopping in our downtown.”
