Just Turkey Restaurant Hopes to Open Soon on Main

The city council's Planning and Development committee will consider its application for a restaurant permit at Monday's meeting.

Restaurant chain Just Turkey is hoping to get its city permits approved in order to open soon at 2430 Main St.

A request for a restaurant permit is on the agenda for Monday's City Council Planning and Development Committee meeting. The Zoning Board of Appeals and city staff endorse the project, according to the agenda, which reads: "The requested special use permit will bring a new small business with healthy food options to the city and will utilize a currently vacant space in an existing commercial center. The applicant wishes to open as soon as possible"

Just Turkey calls itself the "home of the original BBQ turkey ribs & the butter crusted turkey burger."

According to Just Turkey's website, the Evanston location will have dine-in and carry-out options, as well as wifi. Other Just Turkey locations are in Chicago, Oak Forest, Homewood and Calumet City.

The restaurant sells turkey burgers as well as other turkey meals like turkey lasagna and turkey nachos.
