Who Do You Trust: Yoga Studios

In our weekly feature, we ask you to give your neighbors advice on the best businesses in town.

It's cold, it's dark and we all need a little winter invigoration. How about a yoga class? Maybe you're an experienced yogi looking for a new challenge. Maybe you're curious about yoga but don't know your lotus from your Lululemon.

That's where your fellow readers step in. Evanston Patch has a seriously extensive business directory, and it's designed for you to share recommendations and praise — or warnings and words to the wise — about businesses and services around town by writing reviews.

We want all of our readers to benefit from your experience. So please share your knowledge by leaving reviews on businesses in our directory.

This week, we're talking yoga studios. Please feel free to visit the links to our "Places" directory to rate and review these businesses. Who do you trust?

What about Grateful Yoga on Davis in Evanston? I trust them and White Iris Yoga

Thanks for the response, Judy. I'm not sure why Grateful Yoga isn't in our business directory, but I've just asked that they be added. In the meantime, if you click on the link to White Iris Yoga in the story, you can write a review on their page for future potential customers to see.

I find the yoga classes at EAC invigorating, spiritually motivating, and exceptionally good especially Steve P., Maria, and Gita! However, all the instructors have large followings and are truly dedicated and excellent.

Joan Anundson-Ahr also teaches in her home on the north west side of Evanston. She offer Himalayan style and philosophy with a very gentle nurturing class. She even taught at the beach a couple of seasons! It was wonderful!

There are also yoga classes at Zen Shiatsu Chicago located at Chicago and Main. It's a nice location too! I went to school there and Steve and Amber are the current owners. They offer a lot of classes for massage CEU's too!

Thanks for the advice, Jo Anne. I added Zen Shiatsu Chicago to the list above. If you want to click through and leave a review, that would be a huge help to readers who search the business later and are looking for advice on whether to check it out.
