The premier art and wine concept announced today the grand opening of its new permanent studio location in Downtown Evanston at 1016 Davis Street, conveniently situated just off the Davis Purple line El stop and Metra station, amid the area’s bustling shopping and entertainment district. Lynette Martin, owner of Evanston’s Bottle & Bottega, will use the new studio as the hub for art and wine parties in Chicago’s North Shore, while also continuing its off-site events that the area has embraced.

“I cannot tell you how many of our friends in Evanston and throughout the entire North Shore have told us that they share in our excitement,” said Martin, who lives in Evanston with her young daughter. “The community has welcomed us with open arms since we launched our mobile studio about a year ago. The studio gives our loyal and growing fan base a destination to come and let loose as often as they’d like, with a paint brush in one hand and a glass of wine in the other. It is the perfect pairing.”

Martin is celebrating her studio with a grand opening VIP fundraising event on October 16, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Peggy Kusinski, the well known Chicago television sports news personality, will be a celebrity painter at the event. Kusinski sits on the board of Girls in the Game, and the event will benefit this nonprofit organization, which provides and promotes sports and fitness opportunities, nutrition and health education, and leadership development to enhance the overall health and well being of girls.

Bringing out the creative side in everyone regardless of skill or practice, Bottle & Bottega is one part artistic adventure and one part cocktail party. Through a blend of hands-on art sessions, on-site professional instruction and, of course, a glass of wine, Bottle & Bottega helps guests create a masterpiece that they can be proud of taking home.

“This is a very special moment for Lynette and the Bottle & Bottega family,” said Nancy Bigley, the CEO and co-owner of Chicago-based Bottle & Bottega. “We are so proud of how far she has come and we look forward to celebrating in the success of her studio both now and in the months and years to come.”

Prior to signing an agreement with Bottle & Bottega, Martin worked in financial services for more than two decades. Seeking to gain greater control of her personal and professional futures, Martin pursued the Bottle & Bottega franchise opportunity to fuse her love of the arts with a desire to own her own business. Bottle & Bottega provided Martin with the lifestyle choice she preferred and she opened her mobile studio in August 2012. The momentum Martin has built throughout the past year has culminated in the opening of the new Evanston studio.

The new venue, which is the fifth in Chicagoland, signals fantastic momentum for the beloved art and wine franchise concept. In addition to recently finalizing an agreement for a new location in Dallas, new studios are set to open in Portland, Central New Jersey and Miami within the next two to six months. Looking ahead, the brand is targeting growth in key U.S. markets including Boston, Chicago, Dallas, New York, Philadelphia and Southern California. Currently, there are nine Bottle & Bottega locations nationwide.

“We are growing into new communities and providing an artistic reprieve from the rigors of everyday life. Lynette’s studio is the creative outlet Evanston and its surrounding neighborhoods have been looking for,” said Stephanie King-Myers, the co-owner and COO of Bottle & Bottega.

The brand’s iconic painting parties are perfect for team building outings, adult birthday parties, baby bump baby showers, bachelorette parties, girls night out events and couples showers. This fall and winter, guests can look forward to several holiday-themed events and promotions, including the introduction of Mixed Media, ornament-painting parties, corporate holiday parties and more. Plus, Bottle & Bottega fans can now join the brand’s online VIP guest loyalty program, which rewards guests with points for every dollar they spend. Points can be redeemed for upcoming Bottle & Bottega events.
