First Bank & Trust Announces Staff Promotions

First Bank & Trust announced today the promotion of three senior officers to managing directors. Darrin Bacon, senior vice president - commercial banking, Randall Usen, senior vice president - commercial banking, and Simon Yohanan senior vice president -commercial loans. The three appointments to Managing Director are effective January 2, 2014.

 

According to Managing Director and CEO Robert Yohanan, “These promotions recognize the depth of experience and superior relationship management skills exhibited by these officers over a long period of time.”

Additionally, Robert Yohanan announced the promotion of the following individuals: Mary Ann Bley to vice president of loan operations, James Kosinski to vice president and trust officer, Robert Lockwood to vice president and trust officer, Margaret Thordarson to vice president of treasury management, Joan Yohanan to corporate secretary and vice president of administration, Ryan Bird to commercial banking officer, and Monica Muresan to credit administration officer.

New Managing Director Bios:

Darrin Bacon joined First Bank & Trust on June 25, 2010 as senior vice president – commercial banking. Darrin’s earlier experience included working in commercial banking for Midwest Bank, The Private Bank, American National Bank, NBD Bank of Arlington Heights and Boulevard Bank.  He heads up the sales and development efforts at the Naperville location of First Bank & Trust.  Darrin has a BS in Accounting and Finance from Eastern Illinois University and an MBA from DePaul University.

Randall Usen joined First Bank & Trust on January 1, 1999 as a vice president. His prior experience in commercial banking included service with Bank One Illinois in Evanston, Old Kent Bank, LaSalle National Bank and Continental Bank.  He was promoted to senior vice president on December 18, 2001.  He handles a well-diversified portfolio consisting largely of small businesses which he helps to guide through the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.  He is well known in both Evanston and Skokie through his many community activities on behalf of First Bank & Trust.   He has a BS in Finance from Northern Illinois University and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University. 

Simon Yohanan assisted in the initial offering for First Bank & Trust in 1995 and became a full time employee on January 17, 2000.  On December 18, 2001 he was promoted to loan officer/trust operations officer.  On December 17, 2003 he was promoted to assistant vice president, and on December 21, 2005 he was promoted to vice president – loans.  In October of 2009, he was promoted to senior vice president.  Simon handles the largest commercial loan portfolio at First Bank & Trust and plays important roles in the bank’s marketing and technology efforts. He is active on several community service boards including Catholic Charities, Metropolitan Family Services and the Assyrian Universal Alliance Foundation.  Simon has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from Northwestern University.
