First Bank & Trust exceeds 1,000 hour volunteer goal

First Bank & Trust Managing Director and former Evanston Mayor Jay Lytle congratulated the staff on exceeding the bank’s goal of logging 1,000 volunteer hours in Evanston in 2013. Staff gathered for a celebratory luncheon at the 820 Church Street location and posed for a photo in their “We Put Community First” t-shirts. First Bank & Trust announced its pledge in January to contribute 1,000 hours to the citywide goal of logging 150,000 volunteer hours in 2013 as a way to commemorate Evanston’s 150th anniversary.

First Bank & Trust Managing Director Jay Lytle said, “We have reached our goal of 1,000 hours, in fact going above and beyond our goal. You have each lived up to our motto “we put community first.” Your dedication goes far beyond the work you do inside the office, and extends that philosophy into the community we live and work in.

Volunteer Coordinator Ryon Gilbert, said “First Bank & Trust should be proud of their commitment to the service that they provide in our community and I am sure the community appreciates our support and help. Thanks again for all you guys commitment, hard work and service this year.”
