Pizzafest to Benefit Kiwanis Foundation, ETHS Summer Sports Camp Scholarships
Kids and ETHS ‘Kits to be will be the beneficiaries of Pizzafest, Tuesday,Oct. 8, at Giordano’s. The Kiwanis Foundation and the ETHS Summer Sports Camp are joining together for an all-you-can-eat pizza benefit.
“Each year Kiwanis awards over $10,000 in grants to organizations serving children or with dedicated children’s programs, here in Evanston,” says Jim Wolinski, president of the organization. Wolinski added, “ One of our members, Chris Livatino, Director of Athletics at ETHS, was looking for a way to fund scholarships for Summer Sports Camp at the high school. We already work with the high school on custom made mouth guards, funding scholarships for the Evanston School of Wrestling and partnering on the Earth Day project, so this seemed like a natural progression of our relationship.”
