Evanston Restaurants Rinse Dishes without "Taking a Bath"

Until May 31, Nicor Energy Efficiency rebates are covering the cost of money-saving prerinse valves for commercial kitchens in Evanston. Have one dropped off to your restaurant.

What do Brothers K Coffee, Bar Louie, Golden Olympic, Celtic Knot Pub, Mount Everest, Bat 17, Quince at the Homestead, Blind Faith Cafe, Jacky's on Prairie, Lulu's Dim Sum, Bistro Bordeaux, and dozens of other Evanston restaurants now have in common? They all have eco-friendly low-flow prerinse sprayers in their kitchens, completely paid for by Nicor energy efficiency rebates.

For the past six weeks or so, I have been hounding restaurants to change out their prerinse valves in Evanston and throughout Nicor gas territory. It's a fun project: commercial kitchens are busy, interesting places. Everyone has been happy with the performance of the new valve, and what restaurant wouldn't go for an extra $500 in savings this year?

Still worried it might be a hassle to change it? Watch a video of the ten-second switcheroo. It's extremely easy. Just be sure to turn the tap off before unscrewing your old sprayer.  Trust me on this one (Full disclosure: I have sprayed a restaurant owner. Don't let it happen to you).

I'm the one tasked with running this pilot project so I really want it to succeed. So please. Sign up and get a new spray valve.
