A Patch Columnist Gives Thanks

We're reprinting a list of things to be thankful for, written by Patch columnist Christine Wolf, and we want to know what you're thankful for, too.

Last year, Patch columnist Christine Wolf made a list of things she was thankful for on Thanksgiving day. This Thanksgiving, we're reprinting her list and asking readers to chime in. What are you thankful for this year?

:

  1. Friends who trust me to keep a copy of their house keys (and those willing to keep copies of mine).
  2. Three amazing children and a husband of twenty years who cleaned the entire kitchen after Thanksgiving.
  3. Living in and writing about Evanston.
  4. My health -- and health insurance.
  5. My parents, sisters, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
  6. My dog, Jack.
  7. Indoor plumbing.
  8. In-laws.
  9. All the ups and downs in life; they sure keep things interesting.
  10. Comcast internet (when it works).
  11. My mother's cranberry apple pie.
  12. A sense of humor.
  13. Your eyeballs on these words.
  14. A song that 1) makes me want to dance AND 2) sends an awesome message.
  15. Tweezers.
  16. Freedom of speech.
  17. Facebook.
  18. The fact that I won't be anywhere near the Black Friday shoppers.
  19. The person who shot the video of this basketball game...

And that's just a start.
