Deputy U.S. Treasury Secretary Visits ETHS

Evanston Township High School graduate and then acting U.S. Treasury Secretary Neal Wolin stopped by his alma mater for a visit while in town last week.

Deputy U.S. Treasury Secretary Neal Wolin and Evanston Township High School graduate Neal Wolin stopped by his alma mater while in Chicago last week.

Accompanied by a phalanx of Secret Services officers, Wolin spent an hour meeting with students and visited an Advanced Placement U.S. History class.

His advice to students was to "work hard and live with integrity," according to a spokesperson for the high school.

Wolin was appointed deputy U.S. Secretary to the Treasury in 2009 and served as acting U.S. Secretary to the Treasury until Jack Lew was confirmed Feb. 27.

Fox Business News interviewed Wolin about the possible U.S. budget sequester in the Central Library at ETHS the same day.
