Repairs to Lot 60 Parking Lot at 1236 Chicago Ave. Set for June 1

From the City of Evanston:

The City of Evanston will begin repairs on Parking Lot 60 located at 1236 Chicago Ave. just south of Dempster St. on June 1. The repairs include:

• Selective removal/surface preparation on the Street Level Parking Deck;
• Treatment and repair of existing concrete deck;
• Installation of a new waterproof traffic coating system over the top of the existing concrete deck; and 
• Removal and replacement of fireproofing below the Street Level Parking Deck.

Meters in the 1200 block of Chicago Ave. will be hooded for the use of Lot 60 permit holders and Zip-Car Rentals. The project is expected to take up to one month with an estimated completion date of July 1, 2011.
