Two Charged With DUI Over the Weekend in Evanston

The following information was reported by the Evanston Police Department on Monday, May 6, 2013. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests: DUI, Battery, Assault

Jay Michael Courage, 60, of the 800 block of Green Bay Road in Winnetka, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 1:35 a.m. Saturday, May 4, in the 2200 block of Green Bay Road in Evanston, according to police. 

Ashley Leshaun Johnson, 22, of the 1500 block of Dobson Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery at 4:20 p.m. Thursday, May 2, police reported.

Ruth Ann Kolade, 44, of the 700 block of Mulford Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with assault at 7:30 a.m. Friday, may 3, in the 1700 block of Maple Street, according to police. 

Joe Nathan Norman, 47, of the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault at 1:25 a.m. Friday, May 3, according to police.

Reginald D. Stewart, 44, of the 2100 block of Emerson Street, was arrested and charged with retail theft after he allegedly stole hygiene products from a chain business in the 900 block of Dodge Avenue at 1:18 p.m. Thursday, May 2, according to police. 

Isaac Don Williams, 38, of the 100 block of Dewey Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence in the 600 block of Howard Street Saturday, May 4, police reported.

Gunfire Reported On Cleveland, Emerson

Police investigated a report that someone fired a gun in the 1500 block of Cleveland Street at 5:14 a.m. Saturday, May 4. Nothing was found in the area. 

Police investigated a report that someone fired a gun at Emerson Street and Brown Avenue at 3:31 a.m. Sunday, May 5. Nothing was found in the area.

Burglaries Reported On Seward, Wesley, Emerson

Someone entered the door or broken window of a home in the 900 block of Seward Street and stole a Microsoft Gears of War Edition Xbox gaming system and a Sony 40GB Playstation between 11:30 a.m. and 12:35 p.m. Friday, May 3, according to police.

Someone damaged the door of a home in the 2200 block of Wesley Avenue between 11:05 and 11:10 a.m. Friday, May 3, police reported. 

Someone stole a 55-inch flat screen Samsung television from a home in the 2200 block of Emerson Street between 6 p.m. Friday, May 3, and 8:56 p.m. Sunday, May 5, according to police.

Car Burglar Steals GPS Unit

Someone stole a Motorola GPS from a 2010 Audi parked in the 500 block of Sheridan Road between 

Tires Stolen From Vehicle

Someone stole two tires from a 2010 Honda that was sitting on bricks in the 1200 block of Hinman Avenue between 9:30 p.m. Saturday, May 4, and 10:30 a.m. Sunday, May 5, according to police. 

Woman Steals Dress From Central Street Store

A woman stole a black, blue and orange Tracy Reese dress from a clothing store in the 2100 block of Central Street between 2:33 and 3:10 p.m. Friday, May 3, police reported. 

iPhone Stolen From Locker

Someone stole a white iPhone from a locker at a school in the 1400 block of Oakton Street between 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 3, police reported. 

Car Door Keyed; Side Mirror Stolen

Someone keyed the door of a 2007 Chevrolet parked in the 900 block of Wesley Avenue between 9:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2, and 6:30 p.m. Sunday, May 5, according to police. 

Someone stole the side view mirror of a 2001 BMW parked in the 1900 block of Orrington Street between 2 p.m. Wednesday, may 1, and 7:30 a.m. Thursday, May 2, according to police. 

Criminal Damage to Property

Graffiti appeared in a yard in the 2200 block of Cleveland Street between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 4, according to police. 

Someone damaged the gate of a home in the 1900 block of Foster Street between 7:45 and 8 p.m. Saturday, May 4, police reported.
