Two Lanes Of Davis Street Will Be Closed Feb. 12

City crews will close two lanes of westbound Davis Street near the intersection with Chicago Avenue while crews erect structural steel atop a building at 614 Davis St.

Two lanes of westbound Davis Street will be closed at Chicago Avenue on Tuesday, Feb. 14, while construction crews work on a building at 614 Davis St.

The lanes will be closed between the intersection of Davis Street and Chicago Avenue and the alley just past 614 Davis St., according to a press release from the city. Crews will be installing structural steel atop the main roof of the building at 614 Davis St., the former site of Tiny Dog Cupcakes and Giordano Dance Studio, both of which have closed.

One lane of westbound traffic will be maintained throughout the day, and the work is expected to take place between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., according to the city. Pedestrians can continue to use the sidewalk along the south side of Davis Street between Chicago and Orrington avenues, at the direction of on-site flaggers.
