I had the pleasure of visiting Bistro Bordeaux on their busy Saturday night and I was quite pleased with the service as well as the food. There was a bit of a wait but for such an intimate space with limited space, they handled the crowd quite well. I was very impressed with how hands on the owner, Pascal was. He took reservations, seated people at their tables, checked coats, and worked the crowd. I was very happy to take advantage of this great deal because on a regular day, my meal would have cost way more than the thirty three dollars I paid for my three course meal.

For my three course meal I decided to go with the salad, the Moules Frites à la Bière, and the Pain Perdu au Calvados. Everything was quite yummy but a must have and a favorite was the Pain Perdu au Calvados, picture the best funnel cake you've ever had, combined with your mom's french toast, topped with rich creamy vanilla ice cream, and drizzled with sweet caramel sauce. This was so yummy and a warm treat to have before heading out into the freezing cold weather. Also, something that was quite unexpected for me was to find that Bistro Bordeaux has some of the best french fries in town. They are so tasty but they are without the guilt you get when you pig out at a fast food restaurant. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and had a great experience.
